Hello Friends,
Please allow me to take this opportunity to introduce or re-introduce myself, as the case may be. I am a professional handler and proud member of the Professional Handlers' Association, a select group of handlers who are held to the highest standards in the World of Dog Shows. I have 15 years experience in the conformation rings, having conditioned & handled top dogs of many different breeds. I have 24 years experience as a dog trainer, holding nineteen performance titles in agility, obedience and tracking. I have 14 years experience as a veterinary technician, working exclusively in Palm Beach County. I am a member of the Jupiter-Tequesta Dog Club, the Fort Lauderdale Dog Club, and the Keeshond Club of America. I can provide references by request and my home and motor home are both available for inspection at any time. I pour my heart and soul into the dogs in my care and they are all treated as family, therefore I only take on a select number of dogs to insure they receive the individual attention they so deserve. If you are interested in interviewing me for future care and handling of your favorite canines, please feel free to contact me at any time. My doors are always open.
Thank you,
Sherri

I would like to formally announce the addition of my new teammate, Katherine "KT" Spencer. KT has been on the scene with me for just over a year now. She has proven herself to be an excellent assistant and has become an apprentice member of the Professional Handlers' Association. KT has a great rapport with the dogs and I am very confident in her handling skills. Also she has an uncanny vision to be in the right place at the right time with dogs groomed and ready to win! We are looking forward to a very rewarding future together. |

KT started showing the family Australian Shepherd, Luke in 4-H at the tender age of seven. They made quite a team and in no time KT's love for performance guided Luke to his AKC CD, RN, RA and UKC CD. Their teamwork was rewarded when KT and Luke earned the 2005 UKC Junior Obedience Championship.
After this big win KT decided to try the junior showmanship rings starting in UKC where, over the next year at local UKC shows, KT quickly moved from novice to open often winning the Best Junior ribbon. KT has maintained a top ten standing in UKC Juniors. In April 2007, KT began showing in the AKC junior showmanship rings with her new partner, a young blue merle Australian Shepherd named Suede. KT trained Suede to absolute perfection as is evident in juniors rings where KT is more often in the ribbons than not, winning her class numerous times along with a few Best Juniors thrown in. KT has won the Phyllis White Award for Best Junior at the Florida State Fair for two years in a row, 2008 & 2009. KT has also spread her talent to other dogs she has shown in juniors, Miles a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Buster a champion Standard Manchester Terrier. KT is looking forward to training and showing her newest best friend, Fax, a young champion Papillon co-owned with Arlene Czech and Mary Jo Korpi of Coquina Papillons. KT has many goals for the upcoming year.... |
In high school, she plans to continue maintaining her straight "A" average while taking honors courses, Ag classes, as well as being a part of the Women's choir, Drama Club and an a cappella group called Diamond Dozen.
In the show rings, she plans on continuing her winning ways with both Suede and Fax in the hopes of strutting her stuff on the green carpet at Westminster.
